Focus: Foundational technique and concepts of Pilates and human movement.

Vibe: Simple, but challenging. Think tried and true (not basic.)

Expectation: Willingness to learn.

Difficulty: For the clever.(All)

Experimenter

50-min class offering high mental and physical challenge. Movement patterns in this class are more complex. Be up for anything. We will venture beyond the confines of traditional Pilates though there will be evidence of its teachings.

Focus: Strength and challenge. Some wacky sh*t.

Vibe: Complex, hard-core. Think your finest hour or the final battle in your favorite movie.

Expectation: Open mind, ready to work hard.

Difficulty: For the brave.(All)

Recover

50-min recovery class for (gym)rats. We all need a little recovery now and again. Sometimes from a week of heavy lifts, and sometimes just *life*.

Focus: Deep stretch, mobility, core.

Vibe: Subtle strength. The friend you have who doesn’t always say much, but when they speak, you listen.

Expectation: Still up for a challenge but understanding that challenge comes in different forms.

Difficulty: For the focused. (All)

how the classes work together

Classes at Rathaüs fit together as a continuum of each other. why? because that’s how true strength exists in all of us. we start building. we lay the foundation through repetition, careful study, and intense focus. once FUNDAMENTALS are understood , we have space to experiment with them. to make our strength truly our own. The jounery of strenght is cyclical and has no end but it must have periods of recovery where we rest in our power. our call to action comes again soon. we must be ready. this is the clever way to build strength.
